Wordpress Developer

Qualifications:

•     At least 3 years of working experience using PHP
•     Solid experience with XML / CSS / Ajax / MySql
•     Experience with CSS, HTML, Open Source tools and frameworks.
•     At least 1 year working experience with Wordpress
•     Strong experience developing within the LAMP environment
•     An understanding of Design Patterns and good design principles.
•     Strong experience in developing world class User Interfaces using HTML, CSS & JavaScript (AJAX, JSON).
•     Strong interpersonal and written English communication skills.
•     Able to liaise with stakeholders, understand a business brief and design technical specs.
•     Work with User Interface designers to implement usable interface
•     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Experience with JavaScript, and ideally, frameworks like jQuery is also highly desirable. The developer will support a wide variety of programming projects that use WordPress as the underlying platform. Projects will typically focus on plug-in and theme development for both self-hosted WordPress installs and WordPress.com VIP clients. While the projects will primarily entail server-side PHP programming, they will invariably require some level of client-side programming, including HTML/CSS and JavaScript. Ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines and effectively prioritize multiple, concurrent tasks.
